A stalwart of the Australian property industry, Peter Rawson, founded Rawson Homes in 1978. The company name that became synonymous with quality residential developments over four decades of operation with Peter, and his brothers Lawrie and Mark, at the helm.
Following the 2017 sale of Rawson Group, and its subsidiaries Rawson Homes, Rawson Communities and Thrive Homes, Peter re-entered the development industry with a renewed energy and focus through the establishment of DevCore.
As a Director of DevCore, Peter lends his knowledge, wisdom and industry insights to guide the strategic development of the company’s portfolio; and the creation of a company culture which places honesty and integrity at the fore.
For Peter, people are at the heart of every business and every development. The relationships the DevCore team forms – with landowners, project partners and the Councils and community stakeholders in which a development is taking place – underpin the company’s success.
His vision for DevCore is the acquisition and development of land which form the foundation for communities in which people are proud to live.
Born and raised in Mudgee, NSW, Peter resides in Sydney.
DevCore Director, Lawrie Rawson, has spent more than 40 years bringing people’s dreams to life – designing and building quality homes throughout NSW and the ACT.
A former Director of Rawson Group, Lawrie played a pivotal role in the business’ growth from a small, family-owned and operated home building company based in regional NSW to one of the State’s leading home builders and residential development companies.
It is this experience, and an intuitive understanding of what’s required to transform land into a thriving community, that Lawrie brings to the DevCore team.
Following the sale of Rawson Group in 2017, Lawrie is relishing the opportunity to work alongside his brothers, Peter and Mark, and fellow Directors, Paul and Ben, to forge a successful future for DevCore. It is a business founded on the same values of integrity, honesty and excellence which saw Rawson Group set the industry benchmark for developments.
Based between Sydney and his family property in the Hunter Valley, Lawrie retains his life-long passion for development and a steadfast belief in its power to shape strong, prosperous communities in our cities and regions.
DevCore Director, Mark Rawson’s vision for the company is to deliver excellent developments with sustainable outcomes for all.
A Civil Engineer, Mark cut his teeth building high rise and industrial developments for Civic, before joining his brothers in the Rawson Group. Working alongside Peter and Mark for close to four decades, Mark helped grow the business into one of NSW’s largest and most respected residential development companies.
From their first commercial project in Dubbo to the family’s entry into land development with the 300-lot Yarrawonga residential estate, Mark’s singular focus was on understanding what the customer wanted, and how the company could achieve that. A philosophy he holds to this day.
Ultimately, Mark believes a business’ strength lies in having the right people and culture, backed by the technology, systems and processes they need to perform at their best for their clients, partners and stakeholders.
As a Director of DevCore, Mark ensures the company benefits from his astute guidance in the areas of finance, investment and risk management, governance and operational systems.
Renowned for his professionalism and integrity, his eye for detail and willingness to go the extra mile for others, Mark looks forward to a bright future with his like-minded and equally dedicated DevCore team members.
